With the highest success rate this procedure is safe and eliminates need of wearing eye-glasses and contact lenses.
  • PRK – It is known as Photorefractive Keratectomy. Now, this procedure is considered a better version of LASIK eye surgery, used on patient with thin corneas. This procedure includes: outermost lawyer of the cornea is scraped, manually by expert eye-surgeon, and then laser is used to reshape the underlying surface of cornea. This is to correct the vision. This completely safe and effective process requires longer recovery period.

An expert eye-surgeon decides and advices patient to go under particular procedure considering what type of eye-problem he/she is suffering from. A consultation session is conducted, where patient must share each and every detail about his/her past medical history and health condition so that an expert can evaluate everything and then decide which procedure to perform on patient to give best of the results.

Benefits of laser eye surgeries

One of the blessings that God or nature has bestowed upon is giving us the ability to see this whole wide world. And it is nothing but our eyes which enable us to do it. It is with the set of these very eyes that we are able to do so many things we just would have not been able to do had they not been there. Therefore, it is nothing but a sin to take our eyes for granted. However, due to certain deficiencies or lack of care some people begin to experience deterioration in their vision. Earlier, the only solution to such problem was glasses or contact lenses, which do prove a bit tedious a task as not only are you required to spend money on them regularly but also be extra cautious during any form of rigorous physical activity. But this has changed now with the introduction of laser eye surgery, which has helped thousands and millions of people across the globe restore normal eye sight which, in turn, has allowed them to carry out day to day activities in a normal manner.

Although eye glasses and contact still remain a good solution for treating certain types of vision related problems such as far sightedness and near sightedness, but there are a few drawbacks of such things as well. For instance, their application is very limited as they cannot treat astigmatism or cataract, which happen to be among the most common eye related problems people from across the globe experience. In addition, contact lenses can prove to be a bit uncomfortable at times, especially when you are in a polluted or dusty area, where there are chances of tiny specs entering your eyes. Moreover, they cannot be worn 24x7, which is another major drawback of contact lenses. Glasses, on the other hand, have their own set of drawbacks. It is relatively hard to indulge in physical activities such as sports or workouts with glasses on your face.

By undergoing a laser eye surgery, you can get a permanent solution to your vision related problems. This highly advanced treatment can correct a wide range of complications including myopia, hypermetropia, astigmatism and cataract, to name a few. Moreover, the treatment does not involve any sort of cuts or blood loss. Therefore, downtime for such surgeries has now been reduced to almost zero these days. So, go for it and regain normal eyesight in no time.
